To further that trust and increase customer’s confidence with our skills and professionalism, SES and/or members of our management team, carry the following licenses and certifications:
Illuminating Engineering Society of North America Members (IESNA)
IESNA is the recognized technical authority on the illumination and the lighting industry. Members share a common interest in lighting and a common desire to promote the use of the latest, most innovative lighting technologies with a focus on judicious use of energy in all lighting applications.
Association of Energy Engineers Members (AEE)
AEE is a gateway of information on energy management, energy services, deregulation, power quality, plant engineering, environment and lighting. Members are committed to helping their firms or clients increase energy efficiency, utilize innovative energy service options, enhance environment management programs, upgrade facility operations, and improve equipment performance while at the same time bolstering their organization’s bottom lines.
Certified Lighting Efficiency Professionals (CLEP)
Lighting Certified credential that demonstrates the necessary knowledge, understanding and ability to successfully apply lighting principles and techniques. It indicates commitment to career development and professional practice and acknowledges the broad knowledge base in an increasingly specialized practice.
Licensed Electrical Contractor
SES and its affiliates are licensed to perform electrical contractor work in multiple states. A Licensed Electrical Contractor indicates compliance with many, often diverse, state requirements and offers an additional level of professionalism and credibility that customers expect and deserve. Our multi-state licenses also mean that we are one of the few energy savings lighting firms who can perform work for national customers with facilities in multiple locations, mitigating the dependence on outside contractors and crews.
ENERGY STAR ® Service Provider
The EPA’s ENERGY STAR partnership for businesses offers a proven energy management strategy that helps in measuring current energy performance, setting goals, tracking savings and rewarding improvements. EPA provides an innovative energy performance rating system which businesses have already used for more than 26,000 buildings across the country. EPA also recognizes top performing buildings with ENERGY STAR. Several members of the SES management team also carry personal credentials as a registered Surveyor in the EPA’s Green Lights Ally program.
In addition to the above, SES staff members actively participate in continuing education through both company and vendor sponsored training. Annually they attend leading lighting conferences such as The Light Fair Trade Convention.
